This content is specified in Clause 15, Article 1 of the Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Health Insurance.
Accordingly, the case that the health insurance card holder does not seek medical care at the wrong level at the provincial hospital, the health insurance fund will pay 100% of the inpatient treatment fee from January 1, 2021, in the whole range. country.
Example: Ms. Nguyen Thi C has a health insurance card and where she registered for initial medical examination and treatment at a general hospital in Nong Cong district, Thanh Hoa province, she is paid 100% of treatment expenses by health insurance fund inpatient if curative care at Dong Nai General Hospital, Dong Nai province from 01/01/2021.
Currently, if a patient has a non-linear medical check-up at a provincial hospital, only 60% of the inpatient treatment will be covered by the health insurance fund.
With this new policy, it partly reduces financial difficulties for patients who have health insurance.
